Cupuaçu is a fruit very similar to cocoa in its shape, form and cultivation. However, the white pulp of the cupuaçu is uniquely fragrant described as a mix of chocolate and pineapple, an exotic sweet bitter taste.
This fruit named Theobroma Grandiflorum is found growing wild in the eastern subregion of the Brazilian Amazonia.
It is famous for its hydration properties, hence its butter being largely used in the health care sector for a good few years already.
The fruit of Cupuacu is used to produce juices and sorbets in its native South America and we are introducing its derivatives as a new source of chocolate with an exquisite flavour, colour and taste for the international food and drink industry.
